Legal
Privacy policy.
How we handle information when you browse this site or inquire about a stay at El Rodadero.
Last updated: October 9, 2026
1. Who this applies to
This policy describes privacy practices for the El Rodadero apartment rental website (Santa Marta, Colombia) and for reservation inquiries sent to the host.
2. Information you provide
When you use the Book Now form, you may share first and last name, email, telephone number, stay dates, and a message. Choosing “Send inquiry” opens WhatsApp with that information so you can send it to the host. We use those details only to respond about availability, booking next steps, check-in help, or local recommendations.
3. Information collected automatically
This is a static website. We do not run an account system or guest database on this site. Your browser and hosting provider may create standard technical logs (such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested). We do not use those logs to build marketing profiles.
4. Cookies and analytics
This site does not set marketing cookies or third-party advertising trackers as part of its own code. If you open WhatsApp, Airbnb, Google Fonts, or other external services from links on this site, those services apply their own privacy policies.
5. How we share information
Inquiry details you send are used by the host to communicate with you. We do not sell your personal information. We may share information if required by law, or with service providers who help operate communications (for example WhatsApp) under their terms.
6. Retention
Messages you send via WhatsApp or Airbnb remain in those platforms according to their retention rules and your account settings. The host keeps inquiry details only as long as needed to manage a possible or confirmed stay and related support.
7. Your choices
You can contact us to ask what inquiry information we hold from recent messages, to correct it, or to ask us not to use it for further stay-related follow-up (except where we must keep records for a confirmed booking or legal reason).
8. Security and cameras
Do not send passwords, payment card numbers, or lockbox codes through the public inquiry form. An exterior security camera is present at the building, as noted on the site and in the house guide.
9. Contact
Privacy questions: WhatsApp +57 311 365 6374 (Colombia) or +1 917 565 1024 (USA), or the Book Now form.
